Dear Prairieview Families,
We are writing to inform you of an urgent facility issue at Prairieview. We were recently informed of a severe sewer drain issue near 120 that is currently preventing any bathroom service in the building.
Members of our District Operations and Maintenance Department are on-site and actively working with the Village of Hainesville to diagnose and resolve the problem. Our primary goal is to have the plumbing fully functional before the start of the school day tomorrow.
Because the health and safety of our students and staff are our top priorities, we must have working restrooms to open the building.
Please be aware of the following contingency plan:
- If the issue is resolved: School will be in session as normally scheduled.
- If the issue is NOT resolved: We will cancel classes and utilize an emergency day for all Prairieview and Early Childhood students.
We know that waiting for an update makes planning difficult for your family, and we apologize for this sudden inconvenience. We will send a follow-up communication by 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning to confirm whether school will be open or closed.

Estimadas familias de Prairieview:
Les escribimos para informarles de un problema urgente en las instalaciones de Prairieview. Recientemente se nos ha informado de un grave problema en el alcantarillado cerca de la 120 que actualmente impide el uso de los baños del edificio.
Los miembros de nuestro Departamento de Operaciones y Mantenimiento del Distrito se encuentran en el lugar y están trabajando activamente con el pueblo de Hainesville para diagnosticar y resolver el problema. Nuestro objetivo principal es que las instalaciones de fontanería estén completamente operativas antes del inicio de la jornada escolar de mañana.
Dado que la salud y la seguridad de nuestros alumnos y personal son nuestras principales prioridades, es imprescindible que los baños funcionen para poder abrir el edificio.
Tenga en cuenta el siguiente plan de contingencia:
- Si se resuelve el problema: Las clases se impartirán según lo previsto.
